Arts at Edenham

We are proud of our Arts programme at Edenham School, with significant strengths in Music and Art. We are working on the Drama provision in-house and are delighted to support so many of our pupils who take up drama outside school - even with West End Performances in the bag!

We are determined to resist the narrowing of the Arts Curriculum and maintaining the Arts Award programme, in association with the Arts Council is part of this emphasis.

From Sept 2016 we now also employ the amazing Sarah-and-Jan team to teach class music to KS1 and Y3/4, provide tuition in running and vocals, and who coordinate not only choir but also our first school band.

They supported the fabulous Edenham's Got Talent recently, helping parents enjoy a really professional show, and are working towards taking the KS2 Choir to Birmingham, Jan 2017, to participate in Young Voices (6000 children, singing together - wow!).

The children who achieved their Arts Award at the end of July 2016;

Have a look at the Display in the IT Suite or contact Mrs Allman if you'd like to know more.

Vanburgh Hall - Grimsthorpe

Our annual concert at the end of June, 2016 was excellent fun and celebrated everything about what Music means to us at Edenham. Parents and grandparents enjoyed performances by EVERY pupil in the school in some shape or form;
Whole Class Brass Ensemble and vocals, Y5/6
Whole School Choir (its world premier!)
KS1 Actions, Fun and Phonics
Soloists including Clarinet, Flute, Violin, Piano, Trombone
Guitar Ensemble (not quite the whole school but almost!)
Well done everyone, and thanks for all your hard work - pupils, staff and parents.
